This is another "Quilt as you go". This is one side that I will use most of the time. It was a great way to use up leftover fabric. As you know, I just can't throw away anything. It can always be used for something. The top picture is the other side.
This bag is quite large (18 x 11 x 5) and is great for traveling. Either side can be the "front" side and the fabric is oh, so soft. I'm not quite sure what I will use it for, or I could sell it for $40.00. I don't know that I will ever make another one.
Beginning my quest to be a jewelry designer began in 1990 when I started beading gemstone necklaces. After taking a silversmithing class in 1991 at Spokane Art School in Washington, I began to incorporate silver pieces into the design of necklaces and other jewelry. Now I've expanded my creations to include wire art jewelry.
My other love is quilting. Making memory quilts, wall hangings, and pillows are some of my specialties. The design process is the most interesting part of the whole piece. Including hand painting and beads makes for more interest. Although I have sewn most of my life, quilting is the most addictive.
Making greeting cards is one of my newest "fun" crafts to do. I am, also, happy moving from one craft to another. This way I am never bored with what I do.
Enjoy viewing the art...
